Whenever I am not sure of what to draw I usually spark my own inspiration by starting out with heavily geometric shapes and eventually build that in to encompass a juxtaposition of cartoony elements being interwoven within the piece to help study the forms in a very basic fashion. I generally spend about 3 - 4 hours on a single piece and find the process to be very relaxing and inspiring. Whenever working on these pieces I treat them as the intermediary between projects with the calming nature of the process for these types of pieces.
